The Alpha M3 Notebook has a 15.1 inch Hi res screen, 1024 x 768 resolution with a 64MB of shared memory graphics a 2.4GHz Intel Celeron processor with options up to 2.8GHz Pentium IV. The Alpha M3 is a further example of our soft hardware philosophy, this time using a Pentium IV processor to deliver two computers in one attractive case.

On one side it's a completely new soft RISC OS computer design, running a vanilla flavoured RISC OS 4 or Select operating systems delivering StrongArm class performance. Whilst on the other it's a fully featured modern PC Notebook running Windows XP Home or XP Professional bringing together the best features of both platforms.

Together these operating systems give the user access to the widest range of software titles ever.

For completely new users, or those users who are only conversant with PC technology - who probably haven't heard of the RISC OS operating system of it's legendary reliability or the amazing range of easy to use software titles.

Windows users may also care to note that RISC OS isn't a new operating system, it was originally written back in 1989 by a group of software engineers employed by Acorn Computers Cambridge.

RISC OS has a full windowing environment similar to Windows - but that's were the similarities end.

RISC OS is very compact, in fact it's so small in storage terms, only 4MB, that in our Omega range we store the operating system in Flash ROM on the computers motherboard. Add to this the fact that it's a mature design that has been under continual development readers will not be suprised to learn that it's extremely stable, fast and what's more it's very easy to use.

Again to help PC users to evaluate this amazing operating system we have provided a bundle of representative software titles that will whet the appetite and leave you wanting to know more. Plus we have included a whole host of free and shareware software together with a number of games, that should give a great deal of enjoyment to the first time user.

Existing RISC OS users who have been waiting a long time for a modern portable will know only too well the productivity achieved by this system. They now have the opportunity and of course the convenience of taking their systems with them wherever they go - this is a great step forward for the RISC OS market - we know they will get great enjoyment from this unique product.

We advise the sender to insure the computer for the full replacement cost. Please note that neither the supplied carry case or the leather carrying case are considered under any circumstances to be adequate protection for shipping purposes.
