Rack mounted Omega update
Last month we showed the ongoing developments regarding the Omega motherboard fitted into a 1U rack (44mm high), the developer has aquired a new 1U case which includes provision for a floppy disc drive. So the machine now comprises of an Omega motherboard fitted with a standard Lightning graphics and Northbridge chips, 128MB main memory, 140Watt PSU, 24 speed CD ROM drive, a 40GB hard disc and a floppy disc drive.
Sorry we do not have any photographs at present so I have included pictures of the original case to give readers a general idea what's going on.

This Omega can be used as a free standing case as the rack mounting lugs are removable.

Note the vertical PCI adaptor. This machine was fitted with a sound card, sorry about the camera tripod getting in the picture.

26-bit, 32-bit operating systems together with ARMTwister multi-processor 26/32-bit 32/26-bit technology the way forward
